• Account information: your name, email address, password, role (buyer or seller), and for sellers, business details.
• RFQ & offer details: the requests you post as a buyer, and the offers you submit as a seller.
• Uploaded images: reference photos attached to a request, and product photos uploaded by sellers.
• Usage data: basic information about how you interact with BayToDeal, such as pages visited and actions taken, used to keep the platform working correctly and to improve it.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To match buyer requests with relevant, verified sellers.
• To operate core features: posting requests, submitting offers, comparing offers, and (as order handling is built out) tracking deliveries.
• To communicate with you about your account, requests, offers, and orders.
• To maintain the security of the platform and prevent abuse.
• To improve BayToDeal based on how it's actually used.

4. Data Visibility Rules

BayToDeal is built around a specific visibility model:

• Anonymous visitors (not logged in) can only browse seller profiles and the products they've listed. No contact details, and no RFQs, are ever visible without an account.
• RFQs are private and only visible to logged-in users.
• A buyer's contact information is never shown publicly. Sellers only receive what they need to submit and fulfil an offer on an active request.

5. How We Share Information

We share RFQ details with sellers only in the context of an active request, so they can submit a relevant offer. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Information may be disclosed if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BayToDeal, our users, or the public.

6. Cookies & Analytics

BayToDeal uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We may also use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used in aggregate, which helps us find and fix problems and prioritize improvements.

7. Your Rights

You can request to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account and associated data. To do so, reach out through the Contact Us page.

8. Data Retention

We keep account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal information that is no longer needed.
